Anyone else using Concrete5? I don't see a Concrete5 Wiki in the list mentioned on the 3rd party scripts link.
That's what I'm exploring right now, got my server configuration questions resolved and can log in.
To avoid stepping off the path of compatibility (again), I'd like to know if anyone else has successfully installed a basic free theme like Stucco within Concrete5 on a Basic Lunarpages account (Shared hosting?)
A few years ago I hired someone to create a WordPress-based site and began trying to learn how to edit it & learned it required account services beyond those intended for a Basic shared package. It was too complex for my wife or I to figure out anyway.
So, for the sake of learning curve, I want to keep it simple. Add a theme to an 'empty' Concrete5 installation, add images to the basic slider, have a contact form, and have it be manageable by my smart, but non-techie wife.
She is independently experimenting with Weebly.
I assume I need to import a template or theme because the Concrete5 installation is totally empty except for the training links and toolbar.
The pencil edit tool implies it will work but there is no content yet.
The sun tool (not quite an asterisk or gear) for page design, location, attributes & settings opens a blank area.
The + (add content) opens an empty area.
The above could also indicate the server settings are incomplete. I'll assume for now that Concrete5 installs with no content.
In contrast, Sitecake installs with a basic template and the Pseudo-Latin gibberish you can edit. That my admin page for the Sitecake installation is broken (server configuration evidently also needs tweaking like I had to for Concrete5), but that is a bridge I will cross if I can't get Concrete5 (or myself) to play well.
