What's wrong with my popups?
« on: December 10, 2003, 06:46:39 PM »
Here's the page:

http://www.vintageland.com/wiffleball_f.htm

Here's the code which has to be the problem although I can't figure it out:

<input name="button32" type=button onClick="javascript:popUp('wiffleball1popup.jpg')" value="see close up">
              </div>
            </form>

All my images are together with my html files in the public_html folder. I think that my image isn't located correctly.  But what would that be?

'/public_html/wiffleball1popup.jpg'

?

Hi Matt,

I couldn't find any <script> </script> tags on your page with the actual popup script inside....  no script, no pop!  :cry:

Life would be much easier if I had the source code...

Basically, you're calling the function "popUp()", which doesn't exist. You need to make the function inside of <script> </script> tags like robbie said. Just make a function called popUp() that will open a new window.

Whoops I don't know what happened to my script.  I knew it was something stupid.

Do I need a separate script file for each popup?  I'm looking at my script file and I can't figure out how to modify it for each unique popup.

Check out this page where the popups are at the bottom (3rd one works):

Thanks a bunch, I'm pulling my hair out over here.

You only need to define 1 function in the JavaScript. You can call one function multiple times. Might as well delete the other two identical functions. Upload the closeup pictures 1 & 2 and it will work.
