password protection and ftp accounts
« on: October 05, 2003, 04:54:43 PM »
I'd like to create an ftp account that has a separate password so that only the folder I create for it is viewable to the user. So far using WS_FTP, I only see that I have to login using my main account password and username, Then all folders are visible including my html etc.. Is there a way to create a completely private ftp folder  with its own password ? I want to deny any user from accessing my other folders that need to be public and accessable from my main password. So how do I do it.

I created the account and it works fine using WS_FTP and MS_DOS prompt, but if I got to it using a browser, I get a warning and even though it lets me login, I can't see anything. If I force a directory into the ftp URL, I get another warning telling me I'm not authoized to access the folder, this time with no login assistance. Anyway, what is the set up to make it browser freindly ?
