Thanks James. Yes, LP recommended a VP server which I cannot afford.
I'm now looking into JAX-RS, e.g. RESTeasy, a way of making a POJO act as a web service thru HTTP calls. It looks really promising but whenever anything seems like a promising technology my next thought is that LP won't support it. This requires Java 5, and I don't know what pieces of J2EE if any. Supposedly runs in any servlet container but that may presuppose that J2EE is turned on fully. Know anything about this?
It's really hard to get answers, but that's the cost of cheap hosting I suppose.
