mod rewrite help
« on: April 13, 2010, 07:51:24 PM »
I'm using the following code in my main .htaccess file to change "https" to "http."

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{SERVER_PORT} ^443$
RewriteRule ^(.*) http://1800insuranceCT.com/$1 [R=301,L]

However, I need to force a few files to be accessed as "https" only.  I ask for dates of birth and other personal information on some of my forms.  I've tried a few ways to do this but none have worked so far.

Background

I previously had code in my main .htaccess file that forced all pages on my site to be rewritten as "https."  Most of my backlinks use "https."

I recently added youtube videos to various pages on my site (for example: avoiding health insurance scams) and it has caused some problems.  If a page with an embedded video is accessed as "https" the embedded videos youtube trigger error messages.

A solution will be very much appreciated.
