Flash can do great things for your art site, but for advertising, Flash is challenged. Dial up users would have to wait a whole minute for your page to load. Huge images (over 10% of the page) and movement overpower and distract from the message. People tune animation out while they scan the page for other, more "real" content. Search engines ignore Flash (they are looking for text content) and Flash content may not be indexed at all. If nobody could find your pages in a search engine, you wouldn't need a contact form at all.
