Do you think that moving to another server within lunarpages will help?

I'm not sure.. But I hope so...

I'm with lunarpages for 5 days now..
Been experiencing problems since we launched the site.. Sighs..
I hope they'll be able to fix it soon..

I've been with lunarpages 10 days now, and have experienced intermittent issues.  But it's been really bad since Friday.

I would think if the other servers were having issues, we'd see complaints here -- but the only complaints are from people on Eir.

Mitch, is it technically possible to switch servers?  Cause I'd rather switch servers than switch hosts.

Me too.

the main reason why I decided to host my site here is because of their customer support, I really am impressed. But now quite disappointed with the server :(

EDIT : site's up again. hope to have less server problems....

I just received this email from support:

The Eir server experienced a DOS (Denial of Service) attack from
multiple countries and IP ranges this morning.  Our system admins and network
engineers have filtered out the attack, however, due to the magnitude this took
longer than anticipated.  At this time, all services should be restored to
normal speeds and functionality.

I went ahead and merged al the Eir threads together. Our system admins are aware of the situation and are working to resolve it.

Hello, Eir seems to be back to normal - I tested a few links and they are loading a lot quicker now.  Our server admins are still monitoring the situation though.  Just wanted to give you an update on the situation as I got the details in. :)  Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.

Thank you, Mitch. I appreciate your concern. I wish the technical support would be as cooperative as you are. I still don't have the response from them regarding my tickets.

I THINK, if they will only allow us to add name servers for our domain, we can have back ups everytime eir server is down.

OR

let lunarpages transfer us to another server. NOT eir.

anyone here who can fix this?  duh

Updates on Eir? [No Problems]
« Reply #42 on: June 08, 2007, 01:53:17 PM »
hi, just want to know how's Eir server's doing lately? will there be any fixing left to do? i was just curious since im buying a new domain, although i got nothing to worry about since i got multiple account on different server, i just want my new site to be built on EIR. it's just that i would like to have atleast 48 hours of time creating my new site without interruption..  :) so if there's something going on with EIR server, i would be very happy to know in advance so i could put my domain on fand or somewhere else.  :thumb:

Hello,

There aren't any issues with Eir at this time. However, a DDOS attack is occurring which is primarily targeted at Eir. Because of the DDOS attack some users may have trouble connecting to several servers at our Las Vegas datacenter. Our network administrators are currently working to resolve the situation.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
