Eir Server
« on: June 01, 2007, 08:45:29 AM »
You guys severely need to do something to this server.  It was down again and again today.  Extremely slow at times, very up and and down.  It's driving me nuts when my site is down.

I agree.  I'm on EIR as well, and it has been having issues both last night and today.

For those of you on EIR, is this a common problem with EIR?

There haven't been any reported issues with Eir today. If you are experiencing trouble not connecting to the server, please submit a support ticket including a trace route (preferably when you aren't able to connect) so our technicians can further diagnose the problem.

Thanks.

Are you able to load my website?
« Reply #3 on: June 03, 2007, 07:39:35 PM »
Hi all,

My website is http://www.migem.com .  I've been having problems for the last half hour loading it, it takes forever and an error msg comes up.  My email has been very slow as well.  It was fine before and I haven't changed anything at all.  Can you see if you can load it on your end?  Not sure if it's just me or if the server I'm on has problems. Thanks for your help!

FYI, if you can't access a site, it's possible that it is neither you nor the server, but somewhere in between. To determine that, open up command line in windows and type:
tracert domain.com

What is going on with eir.lunarservers.com?
« Reply #6 on: June 04, 2007, 07:05:28 AM »
My web page was unavailable last night for over an hour, and a regular reader wrote to tell me my web site was down this morning as well.  Apparently it went back up, but now it's down yet again.  Every time it's down and I tracert, the problem is at marquisnet.com.

Here is the tracert to eir.lunarservers.com:

IT'S DOWN AGAIN TODAY TWICE!!!  YOU GUYS CONTINUALLY BLAME THE ISP, BUT IT'S NOT THE ISP.  WHAT IS A TRACEROUTE GOING TO TELL YOU?  WE HAVE TWO USERS HERE NOW SAYING THAT'S FLAKEY.  PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.  I HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN WITH YOU GUYS TWO WEEKS YET.

Ok, just did a TraceRT and it completed fine, but yet my site is STILL down....So a TRACERT will tell you nothing.

Hello mininday - there shouldn't be any issues with Eir at this moment.   If you are having any issues, I would highly suggest dropping in a help desk ticket to support at support@lunarpages.com with your trace route information so that our support team can look into any issues you might be having.  Thanks!

Hello, sorry to hear that you are having issues.  Could you try accessing the domain(s) using http://www.megaproxy.com/freesurf/ or http://www.proxify.com/

Here are a few other things you can do to help troubleshoot this issue:

1. clear all browser cookies, cache/temporary internet files, and history.
2. update all bookmarks related to the domain you are attempting to access.
3. reload the browser.

You might also try to flush your DNS cache as well.

Windows 2000/XP and MAC users, please clear your DNS cache by doing:

Windows 2000:
a. go to start > run
b. type:  ipconfig /flushdns

Windows XP:
a. go to start > run
b. type: ipconfig /flushdns

MAC:
a. open a terminal window
b. type: lookupd -flushcache

Windows 98/98SE/ME:
there is no dns cache flush option on these operating systems.(restarting pc may help).

It just came back up, and then went down again.

It isn't my computer -- I'm sure of that.  I ran a tracert from 4 different tracert servers in 4 different states and they all showed cust-lunarpages.marquisnet.com as being the last reachable server.

I tried reaching my site from both of the links you mentioned, but neither of them works.

Thanks for looking into it.
