How to serve main website from subfolder?
« on: April 03, 2007, 08:36:59 PM »
Hello!

I would like to run a Mambo CMS site as the main website on my domain. I could place the Mambo files directly in httpdocs on the webserver, and that would do the trick, but then I can't easily separate the Mambo files from all the other files I have at the root.  :hypno:

I would rather place Mambo in httpdocs/mambo and then set up the domain so that www.manaosoftware.com points to the subfolder. When users enter the site, they should still see www.manaosoftware.com in the address field (i.e. I would like to avoid placing a redirect to www.manaosoftware.com/mambo in the website root, as it would not be search engine friendly).

If I were running on Apache I'm sure I could use some rewrite rules in the .htaccess file, but what can I do now that I'm running on IIS?  :help: Thanks.
