I got the whole point of my post in the subject.

I've created a personal and public certificate using openSSL.  What's the difference between what I've created (what would I use it for) and a personal ssl certificate for my domain?  I noticed when I created my certificate through openSSL I never defined the URL which leads me to believe I can't use it to create a secure (https://) website?

Thanks

And maybe a follow up question... can I install a certificate for testing purposes on my lunarpages account (I don't care if it tells me my certificate is invalid - I just want to be able to hit the https webpages)?
