How do you make an Alias for your mailing list?
« on: December 07, 2005, 10:15:10 AM »
Hello fine folks,

I have just been using the email list for the first time for the last couple of months. I have tried to set an alias for the email list using "forward" but it doesn't seem to work, where it does work for all other aliases I have used before.

lets say I have an email list called everyone@someDomain.com and I want users to be able to simply type ev1@someDomain.com. I go into the "fowards" section of mail in the control panel and set the forward filter to "forward ev1@someDomain.com -> everyone@someDomain.com." When I set that forward and then send an email from an adress that IS subscriberd to the list I get a bounce back with the following message: Message has implicit destination.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I like email addresses to both make sense and have a very easy shortcut for vetaran users. Please let me know if there is some solution. Thanks!
