Spam Assassin not moving to folder
« on: December 04, 2005, 06:57:57 PM »
Anyone,

I am trying to set up the Spam Assassin.  It seems as if it is filtering and deleting the the messages but I have also enabled the Spam Box.  However, it does not seem to be moving the messages.  I cannot find a spam folder under my Inbox.  What am I missing?  Do I have to create one?  I see a lot of discussion about training and scripts.  Do I have to do all that just to turn it on?

Thanks,
Mark

I am using Outlook 2003.   However, I have been using the Horde Webmail client to look for the spam folder.  --Mark

Are you expecting spam? Or is the spam showing up in the inbox? The spambox doesn't get created until there is spam for it to receive.

I am forwarding another spam message that I received from another account.  If I enable spam assassin it does not get through.  When I disable it, it shows in my Inbox.  This implies to me that it is getting filtered and I would expect it to show up in my spam box when enabled.
