Does java script needs a compiler to work in web pages?

java scripts don't need a compiler to work in webpages. java applets can run within any "java-compatible" web browser.

With Microsoft Explorer 6.0 and Windows XP you will have to be forced to download the java support seperately as it will not be included.

You can make it download as a plugin if you have the correct code on your webpages.

the correct code is:

change the <applet> tag to <object> tag
that way it will give the user the choice of downloading the java componant as a plugin
