Batch Resizing And Saving
« on: June 17, 2005, 07:24:52 PM »
Okay...photoshop is being a pain to me even though its me making the mistake. I created an action called 500 Resize. I recorded.....

Open
Image Size
Save
Close

So it did everything I wanted then I went into automate and batch. I selected this. and here is the screenshot I get when I click okay. Can somebody help me with what I need to do? I want the new pictures that are 500X332 to be named r0001, r0002 etc....which I have but it keeps telling me that error from this screenshot http://www.lonephoto.com/temp/screenshot.jpg

Thanks for any help!!!

deadly_risk is correct... you need to specify an extension.

It should be in the drop down box of things you can select in the file name pattern setup.

Yeah I found it....it just says .gif in the thing but is saving as .jpg which was where I got confused. lol.......jeez i thought it saved it automatically so I didn't put it back in my resize thing...now I have to run through 200+ pictures of changing the size and closing it. Poor me  :(

Thanks all for your help. I think I have it now....hopefully

I think you can set up the batch process to automatically close them so you don't have to do it manually, if that is what you are saying. Once you have this set up, it's really easy... just wait for PS to do its thing. Or maybe you need to set it up in Actions or Macros... not sure.

Yeah I figured it out.....I had to open the picture...create the new action. Change image size and save. Then stop. Then automate then do it. Just getting done with my first batching.

Thanks Thu with all your help!
