Site Hijacked?
« on: March 18, 2005, 10:42:45 AM »
I've noticed something strange when checking search results for my site.  On Google and Yahoo when you search "familyphotofinder," one of the results it returns is this:

FamilyPhotoFinder.com
www.design.sex-linky.com/port/photo/ - 8k

This is not my site -- the name is, but the url isn't.  How could someone do this, and how do I make them stop????  Any ideas?

Many Thanks.

HICris, Pete waves

That address ( I altered the one in your post so its not clickable ) was using your domainname as a page title.
I say 'was' as it no longer seems to be an active page.
It will eventually dissapear off the search engines although you could try contacting the people who run the main URL address and ask them to not use your address in future.

That is very strange. I would suggest writing to the respective search engines. They could at least ban the site or something.

Google has a spam/ban page where you can submit an URL and they'll check it out. Also if the page no longer exists, you can get it removed from the index.
