Any thoughts on how horrible xp office would run with a pentium 2 (min pent. 3) and the lowest reccomended ram 128MB?

I want to upgrade my win98 machine, cause its running five years with the same instillation and really starting to screw up, and I don't have the disks anymore, but xp office is available to me.

All its used for is hand coding, and testing sites in about 10 diffrent browsers.

hmm... it's bad enough on a recent system... :? OL crashes so much. I don't use Word much except to reference the staff manual once in a while. I have OL set up to use Word as the composer so I use Word indirectly. And Excel a little. Sorry I can't help much.

I installed WinXP Pro on a Pentium II 200MHz with 96MB of RAM and it ran amazingly well... better than it had a right to. It surprised me so that I gave a demo at the local computer club (they claim I don't have enough to do.)
All the best, Rick E
