Javascript Clock won't show up in Firefox
« on: January 28, 2005, 02:43:43 PM »
Please visit my website:
http://www.magnonic.com

I added a nice clock on the left side of all the pages cause I thought it was nice and added that little something to my page. However, for some reason, the clock will not show up in Mozilla Firefox and consequently all the links in the left column are seperated by blank spaces and it throws the design off. :( I have no idea why it's doing that.

Here is where I found the source code for the clock:

PS
Please give me your opinions on my website. :thumb:

This script harnesses the power of VML in IE 5 to create a live analog clock. VML, or Vector Graphics, is considered a subset of the DHTML technology, and allows developers to render and animate  simple shapes and objects using code.

and
Code: [Select]
<object id="VMLRender" codebase="vgx.dll" classid="CLSID:10072CEC-8CC1-11D1-986E-00A0C955B42E">

Basically, this script depends on a vector graphics library that is available through IE because of IE's integration with windows, so although it is javascript in some ways, it requires more than just support for javascript... and hence the problems with FF, and probably all web browsers other than IE on Windows...
The above information may or may not reflect current policy, opinions, or views since it was likely made almost 10 years ago.

O dang.

Do you know of any other similar analog clocks?

I'm using both Mozilla and IE.

When I visit the mail pages on Yahoo!
some parts are NOT shown at all  :(
when using Mozilla.
With IE however, they are.

The Mozilla project isn't completed yet.

And Yahoo! even isn't using any ASP or MS code,
on those pages.
I need a Java break.
