I was going to say something about Corpus, but decided not to...  :)

In general I think it is a reasonable fit to the target audience... a really fancy and flashy site might actually "scare" some of them away who still aren't sure about making the move to a website...
The above information may or may not reflect current policy, opinions, or views since it was likely made almost 10 years ago.

Okay, deadly_risk, here's some of my feedback:

You might want to change the red to something that will match and coordinate better with the purple color of your logo. Is there a particular reason you picked the red?

If you don't mind, let me download your page I can do some playing around to see what may work better with the overall color scheme of things.

I take it that the logo color (purple) will be the predominant color?

Also, I would make the links on this following page the same font size as the regular text. It's a little large in my opinion and doesn't give a professional look:

I agree with leighsww's input. The red is a little bit bright and since the color red is a warning sign to stay away... you might want to minimize its use. ;)

Red should be used to accentuate, not dominate.

I hesitate to mention this cause it's probably a problem on my end rather than yours, but I can't see your logo. I get a little picture telling me to quit stealing your bandwidth.  Looks the same to me in FF and IE. Now, I'm running XP Pro with Norton firewall and pop up blocking, etc.  I can't see dai's images he posts in LF either when everyone else can - which is why I think the problem is a setting I have here - just wanted to let you know.

/me ducking and hiding now

It's a common issue with Norton firewall. Something about it blocking referers. There are lots of search results if you do a search.

Hmmm...its probably one of my other million stupid programs that block stuff but I dont run Norton Firewall.....

To Mr. Risk: 1. The front page....bottom line messaging is spelled wrong.
                  2. I always like some sort of border or color on the navigation and not just plain white.
                  3. rollover links maybe? I dont know I just have a thing for those...always fun and cool to play around with.  :)

Thu, I've tried every combination of turning things off in Norton Internet Security, and still can't see the images. I even turned NIS off totally and still couldn't see them. Still get the same "Quit stealing bandwidth pic"

Norton may block more than it should, but I don't think that is what is causing the problem here?  :?

Hmmm, the fact that it says, "Quit stealing bandwidth" can't be due to the firewall thing, cuz why would it say those words?

It has to be something coming specifically from the servers you are trying to view. Maybe they accidently blocked your IP for some reason?  :?

Not sure what it is......I just tested with dai's image thing and I can see them if I turn NIS off, but can't see it if any part of NIS is turned on. It doesn't seem to make a difference with deadly_risk's site though.

And, yes, the fact that I was obviously seeing something he had set up to prevent hotlinking is making me suspicious that it's not a setting on my end causing this particular problem.

How are you viewing his site? Did you click on the link here or copy and paste it into your browser's address bar? (Would think you clicked on it here to go to it, but never assume I say)
