Refersh Parent and named anchor problem
« on: October 11, 2004, 08:26:26 AM »
I'm not very good with javascript so I'm not sure if this is really a javascript question or not but here goes..

I have a javascript link that opens a small popup. The popup window contains a 'close window' link that refreshes the parent. The problem is that it will not work when I have a named anchor in the parent window's url.

My URL's look like this:
Code: [Select]
http://www.mysite.com/mypage.php?var1=xxx&var2=yyy
When I try to add an anchor like
Code: [Select]
http://www.mysite.com/mypage.php?var1=xxx&var2=yyy#my_named_anchor
it goes to the anchor but fails on the refresh.
I have tried moving the position of the anchor in the URL but that just outright fails.

Thanks,
L.

Not sure if this will work but try this:

Code: [Select]
http://www.mysite.com/mypage.php#my_named_anchor?var1=xxx&var2=yyy

I did try that but it did not work. For some reason my php script won't recieve the vars when I put the #anchor before the vars

Thanks.
