If you use WindowsXP, there's a free PowerToy called ImageResizer at

So you still have to be able to get all of the images selected by your mouse, in order to right-click them, yes?  What if they are not all in the same directory?  One false click and there goes your list.  This highlights my points exactly.  ;-)

But I will give it credit that the interface is probably (I can't check, I only use Linux at home and at work) not as bad as most GUIs.  It's probably the best GUI you can create for something like this.

Oh, and it's Windows only.  ImageMagick runs on many platforms (even Windows.)

Well, http://www.imagemagick.org/ is the definitive site.
Check this excerpt:
Quote

Here are just a few examples of what ImageMagick can do:

    * Convert an image from one format to another (e.g. TIFF to JPEG)
    * Resize, rotate, sharpen, color reduce, or add special effects to an image
    * Create a montage of image thumbnails
    * Create a transparent image suitable for use on the Web
    * Turn a group of images into a GIF animation sequence
    * Create a composite image by combining several separate images
    * Draw shapes or text on an image
    * Decorate an image with a border or frame
    * Describe the format and characteristics of an image

Re: my site: Thanks.  I'm using pivotlog under the hood, but I modified their default templates quite a bit.  Still playing with some of the navigation etc.

Please try EZThumbnails. You can use it for resizing images quickly to the desired format, rename them all (prefix/suffix), and put them all in a separate output dir.
I use it a lot, works great, is free on http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/
