Some work I just finished
« on: July 28, 2004, 01:37:36 PM »
I got back into playing a text game recently and decided to revamp my personal site about the game.

I am particularly proud of this design because it serves different stylesheets to different browsers (Mozilla, IE, Opera), has no tables, except for cases where actual content is organized in a listed structure (its all nested div's) and every page on the site validates XHTML 1.0 Strict / CSS

Took me 4 days to go the window positions worked out because of the graphics !  haha..  I usually do not work with graphics, but wanted to mimic the look and feel of the newest front-end people use to access the game with.  I actually went and took an empty window from it and then cleaned/sized it up to my needs.

I am also very surprised at how the site for all intents purposes, appears near identical in all browsers (if not fully identical).

The only thing left for me to sort out, is a generic stylesheet for text/screen readers etc.. and to fix my popup code so it will work with Opera (you have to emulate IE or Moz for the popup in the comics section to work)

Well... Here it is.

I like it has a good feel of old school.  I must say that I like the banner, it is very funny :) :thumb:

Thanks.. Its kind of a sarcastic joke about the state of the game. After its recent migration from III to IV
