Alternative to shell compile/execute?
« on: July 31, 2004, 07:01:20 AM »
I'm attempting to set up an IRCd (Dal-net's Bahamut) on my domain.
to do this, I need to compile the program before I can execute it. I have recently learned that Shell accessability has been disabled. Is there another way that I can go about compliling/executing the code?

We do not allow running servers / daemons on our servers, so this might be another issue. Even if there's a workaround, you're not allowed to run it on our servers.

Ok, thanks.

Any suggestions as far as low/no cost alternatives to running an IRCd on lunarpages?
