Hey Guys,

Uploaded my website with lunarpages last week, was hoping to get some feedback if some of you would be kind enough to take a look?

Thanks so much, this is my first website I've run by myself, so any words of advise would be much appreciated:)

I like it. The only thing I thought looked out of place is the text on your navbar. I would also maybe have your galleries open the pics to a little bit larger window.
When I click on an image to open it the url in my address bar only says <about:blank>. Never seen that before nor do I know if its important, but it is strange.

You may want to disable any popup blockers that you may have running when you view the site.  That may  be the cause of your blank page.

I'm getting the page fine. It's just weird that "about:blank" is what my address bar is showing for the url. If it matters, I get it with or without the blocker on.

I get that in the address bar, too. For such a pop-up window, the addressbar should be hidden, takenbydigital. Since the page  has its own navigation, the standard buttons for navigation aren't necessary, either.

Cool-looking site and awesome photography. :thumb:

Higher the frame rate on your flash to make it more smooth. Then just extend your motion tweening. I think you have it to the default 12 fps. up it to like 18 or 20 for the added smoothness :D

You get your friends, I'll get my friends, we can be friends

It's not technically bad because it's not breaking anything. The only thing is that it could cause confusion for some people, as demonstrated. It's just an aesthetic thing. :)

Thanks again for helping me out

Hi takenbydigital,

Sorry I didn't answer your question earlier... it was because I didn't know. :? I thought someone else would jump in. Well, here's a link with some sites that might answer your question.

in the head of your document put
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript">
function MM_openBrWindow(theURL,winName,features) { //v2.0
  window.open(theURL,winName,features);
}
</script>

and then for the link

<a href="#" onClick="MM_openBrWindow('http://www.yourdomain.com/filetoopen.html','','width=760,height=500')">
If you are using Dreamweaver this would be found automated by using Behaviors and it will give you a choice of what you want to have show up when the window opens. I'm not sure how to change what it says in the address bar, just how to make it go away. There is also probably a way to do this with your existing js, but I don't know it.

Hey Guys,

Well I was checking through my website and I managed to figure it out, there was a section my popup scripts where I could change from full window to popup windows.....Would appreciate it if you have a look and let me know if you think this is better?

Thanks

Excellent!  :yey:  :thumb:

Maybe you should put the close button in a separate line so it's more obvious. It also doesn't fit in with the other navigation buttons.
