I have some photo album software installed that uses PHP to generate thumbnail pages for a folder tree of images on the fly, and want to set up a symlink from the main picture folder to a different folder I set up for someone to upload images to my web site to. Is there a way to set up symlinks in cpanel?

There is no way to set up the symlinks in cpanel.

Have you tried "Coppermine" ? That is good gallery software.

Hi Lopht,

For security reasons we do not provide shell access on our hosting plans due to the shared environment, so you would not be able to set up symbolic links on your end.  However, you can contact support@lunarpages.com and provide your username, server, and the last 4 digits of your credit card number on file with us for ownership verification, ask for us to set ut the symbolic links and the exact links you would like created, and we can do this for you.

I hope this helps.

Actually, setting up symbolic links is quite easy from a users end, even without shell access.  But I will keep my mouth shut as to not piss off anyone at LP ;)
