Hello

I am also here in Europe. And yes, the servers seems to be worknig properly in daytimes, but evenings there seems to be problems.

The problems in my sites are with phpbb sites, other sites in my pages seems to be working properly.

I hope they will soon get this working properly. I do have have google ranking nro 1 and the google bot is soon coming and if the sites are still slow then... my adress: www.ostamyy.com  :)

Let hope for the best

can someone please explain to me why during the day (here in europe) I get good speeds and each night extremely slow and furthermore with the following message on the lunarpages homepage:
Quote
We are working to address a situation with our NAS servers. All services are functioning, there maybe a slowdown in the resolving of some sites.

+ reaction to this thread, Valina....mhhh It seems to be my lucky month. I just been reassigned to this server because I found Leo too slow...(+ phpsuexec)

Just my luck...

Well anyways... if it gets resolved, no problem...

This seems to reinforce my theory about it being php related

We're still not sure were the situation begins.

There is nothing that is concrete that points us to the php theory either.

Though I'm sure its been looked over thoroughly

I think it is...

My sites are all php and have to access a database. It sometimes takes forever.
At first I blamed the new settings for php (phpsuexec) on leo. But now that I've moved to another server it is still the same (or slower)

But if it's a problem and it will be solved soon (something with NAS, what is NAS btw ???) then we'll wait a bit...

that's just a drawback of the digital world I guess... sometimes it does weird things...

Good luck and I hope it will be fix soon...

greets

Neco, I have noticed this for quite somtime, so you're right on target with your theory.

Also, later at night, it does pick up speed (EST), but during the day it's pretty bad.
Hopefully LP will find the culprit.

I'd die if I were on the phone that long

At this exact moment my site seems to have improved a lot, so I'm crossing my fingers it stays that way

lol

thank you for your theories but it is not php

We've been on this 12 hour conference call doing a multitude of tests.  The load is still not what we;d like to see and we are discussing what we will do.

More to come soon.

right now my site is much better, seems like more performance could be possible, but this is a step in the right direction

Kathleen, I wasn't referring to php scripts persay, but rather mysql. I just find it strange that my site, which is strictly html, is usually fast loading, but the site that uses mysql is where the speed issues have been a factor for me.

However, you guys are on it, and you have more insight as to what's going on, and I can appreciate the long hours you all have put into finding and resolving the problem. It is much appreciated, and shows the dedication and  pride that the LP staff has for it's customers and company.

Again, many thanks for this, and for keeping us informed.
