linking databases PHP versus CGI
« on: March 04, 2004, 04:50:57 AM »
I would like to know if there is a way to do a batch-input in the Agora Shopping Cart
from another database.
The customer I am building the site for wants a customer-depended
default selection of products, stored and managed in a
MySQL-database to be inserted into the shoppingcard.
If possible a script in PHP would be preferred.

If it is possible by creating a import-file and running a CGI-script
without interaction by the customer it also can be accomplished.

Regards and thanks in advance.

(I'm not sure if this is what you meant)
You could export an existing Agora database from PHPMyAdmin and then import it from another PHPMyAdmin on your other domain(s).

No I dont want to use the agora database
The mysqldatabase is filled with all the artikels
I just want to do a post straight into the agora database "shopping cart"
And just call the page with the "shopping cart" directly so a costumer can pay for all the things he want to have

I just want a post "on the fly" from one to two and need a script to do that

so I want to post the selected article to be posted directly into the cart from agora
and make a button link to this cart

and let the custommer go on from there for payment

I don't think you can use Agora without a database...
