Deleted Public_HTML, now no SSL
« on: June 16, 2019, 10:33:42 AM »
Hi All,
I thought I was cleaning things up and totally deleted my whole Public_HTML folder (not trash, deleted). Now I've recreated that parts I need to reinstall Wordpress for my Woocommerce site.
the shared SSL cert. is not 'catching' to allow me to use https: and I really don't want to start with an http: site and have to upgrade when this catches up. Is there a way I can connect the certificate (thankfully I didn't delete the SSL folder) to the domain?

Well, you certainly did clean up!

Let's see, in my public_html/ I have a .well-known/ directory with a subdirectory pki-validation/. They appear to be empty otherwise (no files in either directory). Both directories are permissions 755 (normal).

Then in my .htaccess all the Rewrite sections had the following added:
Code: [Select]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/[0-9]+\..+\.cpaneldcv$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/\.well-known/pki-validation/[A-F0-9]{32}\.txt(?:\ Comodo\ DCV)?$

If that doesn't get you going again, there might be something hidden that I don't see. You'll have to open a support ticket to get fixed up.
