Title: Question about CGI coding...
Post by: jreed on June 27, 2005, 07:52:08 AM
Hey everyone-

I know you all are extremely busy but I am trying to figure out how to do something and  I can't quite do it.. Here is what I want to do..

I want to take data from a text file that is uploaded every 30 seconds.  The file contains a song title, and an artist name. How can I take the artist name and have a cgi script put it into a link for amazon so whenever the artist changes the link to amazon changes..

Does anyone have any quick ideas? Is this hard to do?

Thanks!

Jason

I think Amazon actually has a script that will dynamically provide the info you need similar to how Google Adsense works.

Is the text a search string? If so then you could just call that search string as part of the URL for the amazon loader.
