Lunarpages’ Drivers Take the Podium

On September 21 and September 22, 2012, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosted rounds 13 and 14 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Fans packed the stands to come watch all of their favorite drivers attempt to make their way onto the podium.

We sponsor a young, yet talented Pro Lite driver, Ryan Beat. Ryan races for Premier Motorsports and has proven himself to be a driver with a lot of potential, and a racer who should not be overlooked by his competition. Ryan has been racing his entire life has twelve amateur championships under his belt. Additionally, Ryan has spent lots of time on dirt bikes, racing supercross and motocross, and also competing at the Trophy Kart World Championships. This year, Ryan’s championship win is within reach as he is only 62 points behind the leader; there are thirty drivers in this class. During the Las Vegas weekend, Ryan placed 7th in the practice round, 6th in the qualifying round, 3rd in the main event on Friday and 3rd on the Saturday main event. These wins make up for Ryan’s third uninterrupted podium and fifth top 5 in a row. Ryan’s competitive yet humble personality is what makes him a great driver that Lunarpages is proud to sponsor; he’s in it to win it and will do whatever it takes.

Rob ‘Fig’ Naughton is the Lunarpages’ driver of the newly reassembled Pro 2, #54. Although there was no testing done for the newly assembled truck, the setup of the vehicle and Rob’s skill as a driver proved to be just the right match as Rob placed 4th in the practice round and 7th in the qualification round. On Friday’s event, Rob started out in 4th place and stayed there for the first five laps. Things started changing due to a stopped tuck on the track but as things heated up again, Naughton caught third place and as the race continued, Rob eventually made his spot to 2nd place where he stayed until he completed the race. During Saturday’s event, round 14, Rob led all but two laps and placed 3rd where he still made his spot on the podium. Rob has many different awards and recognitions and we are proud that he represents Lunarpages; some of his awards include but are not limited to 19 Pro Lite series wins, 3 Pro 2 series wins, the 2011 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series Challenge Cup, the 2009 LOORRS Superlite Cup, the 2007 CORR Pro Lite Championship and the 2007 driver of the year. Rob began racing motorcycles at the age of 12 and became a mini expert at age 16. Soon after, Rob turned pro and he continues to compete in the highest levels of racing.

For both of our drivers, the hard work and training will continue as we get ready to go to Firebird for the Lucas Oil Off Road 2012 Finale on October 27-28, 2012. Keep your eye out for Ryan and Rob!
