Customer Spotlight: Mike Serritella

Lunarpages has a “customer first” motto, and therefore we decided, what better way than to see how we’re doing than from our very own loyal customers? We recently gave out a survey to some of our old and new purchasers, asking them to rate their experiences with Lunarpages on a scale from 1-10. This survey allowed Lunarpages’ employees to get an inside scoop on if our customers would recommend the Lunarpages’ services to their friends, family, and colleagues. As a token of our appreciation and gratitude for participating, the Lunarpages staff decided to give out a Kindle Fire to one lucky winner. The winner of this contest was Mike Serritella and his website is www.mikeserritella.com

We wanted to get to know our Kindle Fire winner on a more personal level.

How long have you been hosting with Lunarpages?
I’ve been hosting with Lunarpages for about 10 years, though I wasn't always the account holder; I would usually work as the webmaster or programmer, and I would suggest Lunarpages.

What do you like most about our services?
The responsive service - the human element. Your services are also pretty excellent in terms of feature list and value, e.g. the shared hosting account has pretty much everything unlimited that can be unlimited.

How did you feel when you got the notification that you won a kindle fire?
I was pretty surprised! I never win anything, even merit-based jobs and contests that I apply for. I don't have a tablet or an eBook reader, so this will be very nice. I'm about to write an eBook for a college class I'm teaching, actually, and this will come in handy.

Why did you choose to host your website with Lunarpages?
Way back then, there was some kind of online review of hosting companies, and I believe I read a review or used a comparison tool. I haven't done competitive shopping in years, mostly because I don't think I need to. Lunarpages offers unlimited everything at a very reasonable price. Additionally, you have great service, and I like to reward that.

What do you think of our tech support?
The tech support is excellent - responsive, accommodating, knowledgeable.

Would you recommend our services to your friends, family, and colleagues?
Yes, yes, and yes with reservations. I have recommended Lunarpages in the past and I will continue to in the future. No company is perfect, and I think an area that Lunarpages’ can improve on is the way that passwords are stored. I would suggest that Lunarpages use some kind of cryptography in accordance with best practices of computer security. Everything else is good!

What do you feel sets Lunarpages apart from other web hosting companies?
The service element and the generally honorable business ethic.
