Q: Why do I need to add a credit card to my account in order to use a coupon?
A: We ask you to enter your credit card because if you accrue any additional charges after your credit has run out, these charges will be billed to your card. Rest assured that we will first draw from your advertising credit to pay for your ad charges, and will only bill your card for charges that exceed the amount of your credit.
Q: My coupon code says it’s expired, even though I just got it.
A: The coupon you received is part of a promotion that is offered to new users of Facebook only. As such, you will not be able to use this coupon on an existing, established account or on an account that you created, but simply waited too long to apply the ad credit. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Q: I didn’t use up all the credit from my coupon, but my credit card was charged.
A: Each coupon code is only active and usable within a set number of days from its date of activation. If too many days have passed since your coupon was issued, it is likely that your coupon has expired. We have no way of activating expired coupons or extending expiration dates. We also aren't able to issue new coupons to users who have already received one through this promotion. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you're still interested in advertising with Facebook, you can do so at any time at http://www.facebook.com/ads/create/. Let me know if you have any further questions.
Q: I just added my coupon, but my credit card is still being charged.
A: Facebook advertising credits can't be applied to past charges. Credits are only valid for charges that accrue after the credit has been added to your account. You'll need to settle your previous balance with a credit card, and we will automatically apply any credit on your account to future ad charges. Sorry for any confusion about this.
Q: I completed my purchase through the vendor, but never received my coupon.
A: Facebook is not responsible for the issuance of these coupons. You will need to contact the ad credit issuer directly in order to further discuss this issue.
A: You can view your applied code(s) and balances under the list of "Funding Sources" in your account. To see your funding sources, log in to your Facebook account; go to the 'Ads Manager’ tab (within the Ads Manager) and then click the ‘Billing’ tab. From this tab, click on the ‘Funding Sources’ link. From this tab, you can see all credit cards and advertising credits listed on your account.
Q: Why can’t I activate this coupon even though I have a new account?
A: You aren't able to activate this coupon if you've already used one on a different account that shares a credit card with your account. Users are only permitted to use one of these coupons on any account. Additionally, please note that our Terms of Use prohibit users from maintaining multiple accounts for any reason, so if you are maintaining other accounts, we recommend you consolidate all of your Facebook activity under one account to keep the account in good standing. We appreciate your understanding.
